Do the Thing

August 2, 2026, somewhere in Alabama on the way home from Florida

I’ve been working on this service offering for a year and a half. Maybe two. After 20+ years of friends and colleagues encouraging it. I took steps to secure the URL, initiate brand development, set up the LLC, have the site developed, and curate the services. And then I started writing the copy for the website.

And I wrote, and rewrote. Last week, I realized that I would never be finished with the rewrites. Because I was doing what I tell others not to do - succumbing to analysis paralysis and letting perfect become the enemy of the good.

That’s the thing about trite, cheesy sayings like that. They are trite because they are true.

And that, over everything else, is what Turnaround Dynamic supports. Truthtelling.

So, I did the thing. I got the copy to a reasonable place and hit the publish button. It wasn’t perfect. Edits I’d made to the site weren’t saved and a dear friend pointed them out to me. It turns out that the world did not stop spinning on its axis because I fixed them after the site had gone live. Also, I did my own IG post to announce the launch. And there was a third page on the reel that was colorful, but blank. And guess what? Hundreds of people still viewed the reel. And some even signed up for our newsletter.

So - do the d@mn thing. Do it scared, tired, joyful - - if you know it’s yours to do, do it.

Next up - Turnaround Dynamic’s creation story.
